Learn About Us
Talulah was born from a simple but powerful idea: aviation education should be smarter, more accessible, and better connected to the needs of today’s aspiring pilots. After experiencing the limitations of traditional flight training firsthand, we set out to reimagine the way students prepare, fly, and grow. Our mission is to modernize flight training, making it more effective, inclusive, and ready for the future of aviation.
Everyone deserves a chance to fly.
The reason behind what we are doing...
The world is facing a critical pilot shortage. Boeing projects that over 600,000 new pilots will be needed globally by 2042, with 128,000 needed in North America alone. Yet, the pipeline to train them remains outdated, expensive, and inefficient. The average cost of becoming a commercial pilot in the U.S. exceeds $80,000, and many students drop out due to poor structure, lack of feedback, and inconsistent instruction. At Talulah, we believe aviation should be within reach, not just for the few who can afford it or navigate it alone, but for anyone with the passion to fly. We’re building Talulah to bridge that gap to modernize flight training, empower instructors, and give every student the tools they need to succeed in the cockpit and beyond.
The man behind the mission
Nathan Cumberbatch
I am a keen and passionate young individual wanting to make a large impact in the Aviation Industry. As a pilot and lover of all things airplanes, I bring a lot of knowledge regarding he process of gaining a pilot's license, and I want to make it easier for more to do the same. More importantly, my ultimate goal is to make the field of aviation and becoming a pilot accessible to all, no matter what their socioeconomic background. I am currently enrolled in college at the University of Southern California as a Scholarship Track and Field Athlete, however, my mind is fixated on making a streamlined way for people to enter the world of aviation. I am incredibly personable and would be open to working with anyone willing to use trust and teamwork to collaborate on this project that will have a large impact.
